Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 7, 2026

Steady North ("Steady North," "we," "us") helps you understand and manage your money. We take the privacy of your financial information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

2. How we use your information

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal or financial information. We share it only:

4. Bank data and Plaid

We use Plaid Inc. to securely connect to your financial institutions. Plaid handles the login to your bank — we never see your credentials. Your use of Plaid is also governed by Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. You can disconnect a linked account at any time, which stops future data collection from that account.

5. How we protect your data

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, encrypted storage of sensitive tokens, least-privilege access controls, and read-only access to your accounts. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information at every layer.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see below). We may retain limited records where required by law.

7. Your rights and choices

To exercise any of these, email us at privacy@steadynorth.net.

8. Children's privacy

Steady North is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you and update the date above.
